Why Take Pictures? is a CCP-curated exhibition that interrogates the motivations behind photographic practices. Through the works of artists Alan Constable, Michelle Tran, Lyndal Irons, Glenn Sloggett and David Wadelton, Why Take Pictures? explores our compulsion to capture and collect images.
Throughout the duration of the exhibition, CCP will be hosting an accompanying Instagram project engaging a number of photographers with the question: Why do you take pictures?
The project features a post from a different photomedia artist each week. Each post will include an image of their own work and their inspiring and honest responses to our question.
Follow our Instagram account @ccp_australia to see the responses.
